Biodiversity is the measure of the relative variety among organisms in an ecosystem. Ongoing field research is performed by the museum staff (and their colleagues) to survey the biological life here in the Reservation and other county parks. The information collected is used to track the biodiversity of the county park system, create accurate species listings, assess the relative health of the ecosystems, and make plans for improved stewardship of the land.
