Whether you are a long-time nature lover, a nature novice, or just interested in keeping a venerable nature museum in tune with the times, The Friends of Trailside Nature Museum organization invites you to join its efforts to support ongoing and special museum programs. Funds raised by the group have provided equipment for the museum staff's turtle and avian research projects, books for the reference libraries, and enhanced the museum's natural history exhibits, to name just a few of its endeavors.

The Friends was organized in 1974 as a private, not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting a better appreciation and understanding of the natural world and the relationship between people and the land. It is always seeking new members who care about the environment and the museum's place in preserving the county's natural history.
